TtHIS IS THE 2ND PART OF THE ZERO TO HERO BEGINNERS COURSE. If you already know: **How to use a sewing machine - thread it, wind bobbins, replace needles ** have an understanding of seam allowances and how to guide the fabric under the machine ** About grainlines and using a scissor correctly Then you are welcome to join us. If not please register for the next Basics course. There will not be time to teach you those basic skills in these classes In this second part of the course (7 classes)you will learn basic garment construction techniques and how to use and read patterns correctly. You will discover basic but important skills like cutting, hemming, inserting pockets, zips, how to attach sleeves and a hood, sew with a twin needle, insert elastic into a waistband and so much more. Projects : A pair of shorts or long pull on pants, a sweatshirt or hoodie, a project using a zipper. You will learn how to construct pants with inseam pockets, how to insert sleeves, sew a stretchy waistband and cuffs, a hood or neckband. What you will need: A pair of fabric Scissors, pins and fabric marking chalk. Not much else, but a basic kit of tools will help for homework. We will discuss this in the first class. All materials are included in the price. Payment Options: Option 1: R3500 for full course of 7 classes. Includes all materials and patterns. PAYMENT Payment in 2 instalments is available. The first is your deposit to guarantee your spot. Full payment must be paid before you may commence the course. Classes may not be deferred and no refunds for missed classes. This is a hobbyists course and not designed for industrial training. The course is not a registered educational course and no certified qualification is given. However, you will be well on your way to being able to create your own home business if you wish to go that route. There will be opportunities to make up classes, in a group class at an extra charge of R300 or a private class at R480 for a1.5 hour session .
