Service Description
OPEN STUDIO INFORMATION I am offering OPEN STUDIO days that allow you the use of the sewing Studio facility. I just love having the creative buzz in the Studio and I want more of it. That’s what it’s all about – people making, creating and sharing in a lovely space! HOW IT WORKS Bring your own project and fabric and come and create in a social space. This is not a teaching or facilitated class but the chance for you get on with your own thing with no interruptions from home. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Other sewers may be there and the best part about that, is the camaraderie and the inevitable sharing of skills and potential for collaboration. Friendships are crafted around the sewing tables. Come as a group with your buddies, or on your own and create some beauty. Is a BABY SHOWER coming up? Come and sew up something special for the Mama to be. Perhaps a patchwork quilt for the baby, décor for the nursery? A BIRTHDAY sew-along is a great way to share quality time with your buddies. Your imagination is the only limitation. WHAT IS OFFERED IN THE STUDIO? • High tables for easy cutting • Dress-makers dummy for fitting • Long and short rulers • Quilters Rulers and set squares • Work tables for sewing at • Haberdashery and basic sewing supplies for purchase • Patterns galore • Pattern tracing paper (price on request) when stock is available • Sewing machines – domestic machines are available for use at an extra fee of R50 • Great natural light • Coffee shops and restaurants next door • Fun times RATES FOR UNSUPERVISED, NON FACILITATED OPEN STUDIO SESSIONS: STUDIO MEMBERSHIP– 3 month package. 3 Sessions pm R650 – TOTAL R1950 INDIVIDUAL R350 - 1 session for 3 hours PENSIONER OVER 70'S R100 - 1 session for 3 hours GROUPS UP TO 6 PEOPLE - R350 each, minimum of 4 people - 3 hours session. Cancellation Policy
Thank you for registering for a sewing course with Sew it Together Studio. Please note the following: A full deposit must be paid on registration to guarantee your place. The remaining balance is due before the course starts or on the first day, unless arranged otherwise. Course fees will only be refunded if cancelled 14 days before the start date of the course. If the course is cancelled you may elect to switch to private classes in which case they would be two hours long and subject to the T&Cs of the private package deals. You may sell or gift your place on the course to someone else if you are unable to cancel 14 days before the start of the course. Missed classes are not refundable. You may make up missed classes at an extra cost of R400 per hour or you may join another group to catch up a class if they are working on the same material.
