INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP - Fit & Sew Pants

Service Description

FOR INTERMEDIATE SEWERS ONLY - Graduates of The Beginners full so long as you already know how to read a pattern, choose your size, lay up the pattern and cut. I will not be teaching these things. Some assistance will be given but this is definitely not an absolute beginner project Intermediate workshops are over Saturday afternoon 1-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. Immerse yourself in a slow sew for a weekend. This is the first of a planned series of slow sew workshops. We will work with a trouser pattern that has side pockets, a zippered front fly opening, waistband and shaped legs. Create a muslin of the pants to check fit and any adjustments that might need to be made and only then cut your chosen fabric OR jump straight in and cut n sew We have a couple of patterns to choose from or perhaps you have your own. The group will work together to resolve any fitting issues and construction complexities. Its so much fun sewing in a group with a challenging project! Sew it Together has sewing machines . We will provide the materials for the muslin if you opt to make one. You may come an view our pattern selection the week before the workshop. You will need to purchase your own fabric for the final trouser. Tea and coffee and light snack will be provided on Sunday. Lunch may be ordered from the restaurants in Palmer Road or bring your own. Cost is R1200 for the weekend excl. muslin fabric. Add R240 for an AO Size pattern printout if you use one of ours, or you can trace ours (it takes time though).
